Terms of service

Last updated 5 August 2026

These terms govern your use of the dctl.sh website. Use of the DCTL software itself is governed separately by the licence.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by KONG GROUP LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, USA. “We” and “us” mean KONG GROUP LLC.

2. The software licence is separate

Downloading, installing or using DCTL is governed by the DCTL licence, not by these terms. Where the two conflict in respect of the software, the licence prevails.

3. Acceptable use of this site

  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure.
  • Do not use the contact forms to send bulk, automated or unsolicited messages.
  • Do not scrape the site in a way that degrades it for others.

Good-faith security research is welcome. Please follow the disclosure process on the security page.

4. Accuracy of content

We take care to describe DCTL accurately, including publishing an honest feature-status table rather than implying the product is more finished than it is. Even so, this site is provided for information only, its content may change without notice, and nothing on it forms a contractual commitment. A written licence agreement, where one exists, is the only binding statement of what we have agreed to supply.

5. Third-party links and names

This site links to third-party resources, including the Rclone project, which inspired DCTL’s architecture and feature set. We are not responsible for third-party content. Rclone, Backblaze, Cloudflare and other product names are the trademarks of their respective owners, and are used here only to describe compatibility and lineage. DCTL is an independent implementation and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them.

6. Intellectual property

The DCTL name, logo, site design and copy are owned by KONG GROUP LLC. You may quote and link to this site with attribution; you may not reproduce it wholesale or use our branding in a way that implies endorsement.

7. Availability

We make no guarantee that this website will be available uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, and the courts of that state have exclusive jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

10. Contact
