1. The DCTL software

DCTL performs no telemetry. It sends no usage statistics, crash reports or analytics of any kind, and it requires no account, licence key check or activation to run. It connects only to the storage providers you configure, and to nothing else.

Your file contents, filenames and directory structure are encrypted on your machine before they reach a provider. KONG GROUP LLC never receives them and could not read them if it did.

2. This website

What we collect

• Form submissions. When you use the contact or early-access form we receive the name, email address, company, topic and message you typed.
• Request logs. Our server and Cloudflare record standard request metadata — timestamp, requested path, response status, IP address and user agent — for security and abuse prevention.

What we do not collect

• No advertising or tracking cookies, and no cross-site tracking.
• No third-party analytics.
• No fingerprinting and no ad-network pixels.

The only browser storage this site uses is a localStorage entry recording your light or dark theme preference. It never leaves your browser.

3. How we use what you send

Form submissions are used solely to answer you and, where relevant, to discuss licensing. We do not add you to a marketing list without your asking, and we do not sell, rent or share your details with third parties.

4. Retention

Request logs are retained for up to 30 days. Correspondence is retained for as long as needed to answer you and to meet our record-keeping obligations, and is deleted on request unless we are required to keep it.

5. Processors

• Cloudflare — DNS, TLS termination and the tunnel that fronts this site. Cloudflare processes request metadata on our behalf.
• KONG GROUP LLC-operated infrastructure — the site itself runs on servers we control. It is not hosted on a third-party application platform.

6. Your rights

You may ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.

7. Changes

If this notice changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. The DCTL tool’s no-telemetry position is a design commitment, not a policy setting, and is not something we intend to revisit.
